Busy Busy Busy

We have certainly packed a lot of life into the last few days around here. This Momma is tired but oh so thankful that life is just so full.

Thursday the kids got out of school early for spring break and it worked out great that the kids were able to help at the food pantry. I love that all three of my kids were at the food pantry at church. I want them to be apart of this wonderful ministry at church. My heart was so tendered to those people that waited in a long line a long time for a box off food and some pastries and bread.

Here are Kyle and Grace loading up their carts with food. In some ways I LOVE working at the food pantry and I LOVE that my kids roll up their sleeves, but it also kills me that the need for food is so great in our community. There was a young girl there this time with her two week old baby girl and it killed me that she had to catch a cab with her baby girl in tow to come get the food.

For safety I always tell Kyle and Grace to stick together and they work as a team. They are good food loaders.
The weather this week has been so warm and pretty which has given my girl a chance to work on her Tball skills.

This week has been sooooo busy with makeup soccer games. My Dave loves soccer:)
He has even got a chance to play goalie in the "goalie dress!" The rec department provides each team a goalie jersey for the goalie to wear and it is so huge that AShley and I refer to it as the "goalie dress!"
Today on Good Friday we were so blessed to be all home together. The weather today has been cold and rainy which provided us a great excuse to head to the movies to see Hop. The kids loved it and it was a cute movie.

I hate that this picture is sideways, but tonight Kyle had a baseball game in the damp cold. Brrr! It was so cold that I pulled out the hat and gloves for my little ones.
Tonight during Kyle's baseball game Kyle got another opportunity to pitch and he did so great!! I am so proud of how calm and cool he stays while he is on the mound. It makes this Momma super nervous but he loves pitching.

Go Kyle! Tonight he had seven strike outs!!

He is finally getting some good hits too! It is such a big adjustment from pitching machine to kid pitch and he is enjoying this Little League season.

I love this song so much. This week has been super crazy and busy, but this song helps me to stop and remember what this wonderful Holy Week is all about. Thank Jesus that we can look forward to the Glorious Day when we meet you face to face.

This weekend has been so full of fun and family. I love weekends where you go to bed on Sunday night exhausted but with a smile on your face. At the end of last week David FINALLY got to have his first real Tball game. He was so excited and did well. Here he is getting helping from Doug.

I made it home Mom!!!

Saturday was super special because my parents came down for a visit. We celebrated my Dad's birthday with a yummy lunch that Mike cooked on the grill and pie. The kids were so thrilled that they came for the day.

My Mom, the organiziation wizard, helped me clean out Hope's closet. That is such a chore for me, but my Mom can whip any closet into shape in an hour. No joke. Hope found this princess outfit and wore it for a while. Precious:)

Then my parents help the kids color Easter eggs, and I love this picture of my Dad and Hope working together.

Kyle is getting to that age where he likes to be the helper-here he is helping GG get the cups ready to go.

Hard work-I love times like this where I can step back andbserve my kids having fun. They worked so hard on their eggs and I think my parents had as much fun as the kids did:)

Well, except GG's new tennis shoe. HA! David got wild with red dye and spilled it on her new white shoe! Now it has a nice pink glow to it:)

Today we had our third (?) annual Easter egg hunt with our Down Syndrome group. Words cannot express how much I love our events and getting together with our friends. It is so fun to hear about our kids and see how fast they are all growing. I am so proud to be apart of such a wonderful group of people. Here are David and Angie hugging!

I just had to take a picture of this to prove that Hope did indeed let Carol love on her and she even slept on her! Shocking I know! My shy girl does not get too far away from Mommy or Daddy and here she was letting Carol love all over her! Yay!

I am not happy that this picture is sideways, but at church this afternoon they had an event called Journey to the Cross, where you could walk through different rooms where the Easter story was explained on a child's level. It was WONDERFUL and I was so impressed. What a wonderful way to start Holy Week.

To end the weekend, I walked outside to get something out of my car. I looked up and saw this gorgeous full moon and I just smiled. After this wonderful weekend spent with great folks, it seemed fitting that the moon would be as full as my heart.
