Pulling into the parking lot I was rushing to not miss the opening ceremony and parade! Thankfully I did not miss it, but when I entered the track the emotion came over me. I usually tear up on this day where we celebrate that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made, but today my emotions were in overdrive. Today I was a proud parent because not only does my child face a significant disability everyday, but I also am so emotional about what he has had to endure this past year. Typical David; however, he was smiling and having fun and wondering why his Momma was crying!!

He got to be one of the torch runners and here he is giving it his all!!!
I so wish I could photoshop some makeup on me in this picture, but amazingly Ashley and Jason both took the day off from work today to attend this event with my child. David is so blessed to have such cheerleaders in his life today and everyday. We are so blessed not only with the pictures they take, but with their friendship and love as well.
David and several of his little amigos from his class!! It was so sweet to step back and watch him hang with his buddies in school.
Pastor Jonathan was there today to give the invocation before the games began. He prayed a beautiful prayer over the event that of course, made me tear up! We are all fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator!!
