Friday update

We just met with David's doctors during morning rounds. They are pleased with his his labs, his energy, and eating. A Bacteria still has not grown which means that he will still remain on two antibiotics when we are discharged. Because we have a local "home" we are getting to be discharged Saturday on both the antibiotics. This is just another time that the Pendleton's condo has been beyond a blessing to us!!! Thank you for your generosity Bonnie and Barry!!

Today home health will be coming to give me a refresher course on giving IV meds through his port. His port will remain accessed when we go home to the condo. I have done it before but it has been a few months so I could use a refresher course.

The next week will be crazy as Mike has a conference in Roanoke, Kyle has two SOL tests next week, and we feel that Dave needs to stay close here in Charlottesville. As always we will work it out. We are so thankful for Pops and GG for helping wherever they are needed and for all our friends that have offered to help with Kyle. Hope is Happy as a clam this morning here in preschool with Haley. We are so thankful for that preschool program here. David is working with the new child life specialist this morning. Her job is to play with kids in a therapeutic way to ease their fear about being in the hospital.

We are holding our own here. We enjoyed a wonderful home cooked meal from the Katstra family. Mike and michelle worked together years ago at Charlottesville High School. David loved her Mac and cheese and he ate two helpings!! we are in good spirits and thank you so much fornyournprayers and love.
