Address and Such

We have had a few requests for our address here:

1215 Lee Street
Charlottesville, VA 22908
c/o Children's Hospital 7 Central
David Robinson

We have a busy night ahead of us with a CT scan, an ultrasound, and a bone scan. We are super anxious about the bone scan because we are worried that the c word has spread further since it is in his lungs. We will all breathe a sigh of relief when those results come back.

We are tired, scared, overwhelmed, but clinging to the everlasting Arms. We know that God has this precious guy in his hands. We feel him wiping our tears and rubbing our backs. We know He loves us so therefore all we can do is trust. Trust in God to provide healing for our boy. Trust that the mighty Physician will heal the c word and we will be back in Marion soon jamming to Jason Aldean, eat Frosty's and and heading to our favorite library.

This is hard and so scary but we feel your love and prayers. We are overwhelmed in a good way with all the calls, prayers, texts, and love. Thank you dear friends and we will keep updating here on the blog as we get results tonight hopefully. Writing it out like this is so therapeutic for me and helps me keep focus and perspective. Our emotions are on a roller coaster and we take turns being strong.

Love to you all dear friends and family. Keep the prayers going to the might One who hears our prayers and love us all dearly.

  1. Please know that I have added David and your family to my prayer journal and promise to pray every day. During crucial times, I try to remember each of the times God has answered my prayers. This helps me gain confidence and strength for the present. One of my favorite verses is Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

  4. Laura,
I just learned today about David's news. Please know that we are praying for all of you. I will put this prayer request on the E&H Cares and Concerns prayer list.

When I opened the page of your blog and heard the opening chords of "How He Loves," I was reminded of how closely you and your family cling to your faith. I pray that you will feel God's arms wrapped around you -- loving, healing, and giving you hope. My daughter walked into the room and started singing right along with the song. What a beautiful gift we have to share with our children -- the Good News. Your family is so blessed to have such a great wife/mother who is so open to letting God's grace be poured through you, even in these frightening times.

Though the world's chaos surrounds you, may God's peace dwell within you.

    Love and peace,
    Mary K.

  5. Praying for your little boy just remember god is great and will not give you anything you can not handle. Please tell Ashley I am thinking of her also in this time. May God be with you and your family.

  6. You've got prayers going on in Rural Retreat! God does answer prayers. My grandson was born with Hydrocephelus (water on the brain). He was given 0% chance to live but throught prayer and the grace of God, he just turned 2. Praying God keeps his arms around you and gives you the comfort only He can give! 8. Hi all!

All of you have been in my prayers since I was told the news the other day! Hope David makes a speedy recovery and everything comes out wonderful!! I laughed when I read when he wanted to sing the big green tractor song because we listened to that several times on the boat over the summer! Tell him I said hello!

    Love,
    Lyndsey Alderman
